Time for a change: helping women through menopause

Published: 27th November 2019

This article, recently published by The Financial Times, discusses the effects that menopausal symptoms can have on women at work and how this is often compounded by a lack of support from employers.

In a survey of 1,132 women conducted by Dr Newson and Newson Health, nearly all respondents said that their menopausal symptoms had negatively impacted their work life with some women saying they feel as though menopause is often treated as a joke. This article also draws attention to some organisations that are blazing the trail for menopause awareness at work, such as Tesco and West Midlands Police, and where you can find advice and help when it comes to introducing menopause related well-being policies in your workplace.
