Ground-breaking menopause clinic opens its doors to celebrate World Menopause Day

Published: 5th October 2018

A ground-breaking new women's health clinic in Stratford-upon-Avon is opening its doors to visitors at an open day scheduled to coincide with World Menopause Day.

Newson Health Menopause & Wellbeing Centre at Winton House, Stratford-upon-Avon, was set up by pioneering menopause specialist, Dr Louise Newson and officially launched last month by inspirational wellbeing expert, Liz Earle MBE.

The open day, being held between 10am and 4pm on Thursday 18th October at the beautifully refurbished Winton House on Church Street, will give women the chance to hear from, meet and pose questions to Dr Newson and her team, as well as specialists from a variety of fields whose aim is to help women experience a more positive and stress-free perimenopause and menopause.

The day will include an hour's talk by Dr Newson followed by a doctor's Q&A session and group discussions where women can share tips and experiences. A nurse specialising in menopause and lifestyle check-ups will be present, along with a nutritionist, personal trainer and yoga expert. Tea and coffee will be served along with cakes from a local Stratford-upon-Avon cake maker, including vegan, gluten and dairy free options.

Dr Newson said "The perimenopause and menopause should be a positive experience for women who receive the right help and treatment. We are hoping this celebration of World Menopause Day will be the first step for many women to learn about the menopause and what we offer here at Winton House".
