Long Term Follow-up to WHI Study Proves Lower Breast Cancer Risk

A new study that has just been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), shows that women who have had a hysterectomy and take oestrogen only HRT for more than 20 years had a LOWER risk of developing breast cancer and a LOWER risk of dying from breast cancer compared to women not taking HRT. UK based fashion designer and stylist, Karen Arthur, has developed a survey for black women in the UK who are going through the menopause in a bid to raise the visibility of black menopausal women in the media. The survey also aims to help target research specific to UK black women and gain resources to help these women better navigate this transition.
